Privacy Policy
HarQen, recognizes that its participants, visitors and others (Users) who use www.voiceadvantage.com or other web sites owned or operated by HarQen (the "HarQen Sites") consider their privacy to be important and may worry about us using or sharing their personal information. We value your privacy at HarQen. We have created this Privacy Notice to provide information about how we use and disclose User information collected on HarQen sites.
This Privacy Notice is incorporated into and is subject to the HarQen Terms of Use, which we have also provided on-line. Your use of the HarQen Sites and any personal information you provide on the HarQen Sites remains subject to the terms of this Privacy Notice and our Terms of Use.
When a User posts an audio file, video, image, text, or other content onto Public HarQen Sites, such as ComicWonder.com, we consider that Content published. This Privacy Notice does not cover or pertain to any published Content. When a User posts content onto Corporate HarQen Sites, such as VoiceAdvantage, we limit access to this information to a select group of users, service providers, and partners such that your information is maximally enabled to help transact the business at hand.
HarQen collects the following information:
- Cookies: When you visit the HarQen Sites, we ask your browser to store small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters known as a cookie. We issue cookies so that we can identify your browser. HarQen uses both session cookies and persistent cookies. After you leave our site and close your browser, a persistent cookie remains. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your help file directions in your web browser. If you refuse our cookies, some features of the HarQen Sites may not function properly.
- User Provided Information: When you choose to participate on the HarQen Sites (e.g., uploading audio files, posting comments, entering contests, subscribing to mailing lists, taking advantage of promotions, responding to surveys, etc.), you are providing personally identifiable information (e.g., your name and email address) to HarQen. You are giving us this information of your own volition.
- Log Files: The HarQen servers automatically record certain information (e.g., web request, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser language, URLs, etc) that your web browser sends whenever you visit our websites.
- Web Beacons: We may employ clear GIFs or Web Beacons to track anonymously how Users use the HarQen Sites. We may also use Web Beacons in our emails to track which emails are opened by recipients.
How HarQen Uses Information:
HarQen uses information collected from cookies, Web beacons, and log files to enhance our Users' experience by providing custom, personalized content. We also use this information to monitor the overall effectiveness of our site and track metrics (e.g., total number of visitors, pages viewed, etc). HarQen does not rent or sell personally identifiable information to advertisers. We may, however, use your personally identifiable information to:
- send you notices and updates
- provide your content to other Users
- send you our newsletter
- provide access to your Account
- confirm purchases
- track customer service
- resolve service problems
- correct errors in the service
- provide requested information about promotions and sweepstakes

Due to our contractual obligations with our partner companies, we cannot provide you with the opportunity to opt-out of sharing personally identifiable information with these third parties. Please note that our partner companies do not have an independent right to share this information, except through the mechanisms and restrictions provided through our own services.
When HarQen Discloses Information
If HarQen ceases operations, personally identifiable information may be provided to a third party for bankruptcy purposes or if there is a transfer of the assets or ownership of HarQen. HarQen may also disclose personally identifiable information to respond to a subpoena, court order or similar request, or defend ourselves against legal claims. HarQen may also provide such personally identifiable information to investigate, prevent and take action regarding fraud or misuse, to comply with law or in response to a law enforcement agency's request, to enforce our Privacy Policy and end user agreements, and to protect the rights, property and safety of the HarQen Sites, Users and others.
We provide personally identifiable information and non-personally-identifiable information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies, or other businesses or persons for the purpose of processing such information on our behalf. We require that these parties agree to process such information in compliance with our Privacy Notice, and we use reasonable efforts to limit their use of such information and to use other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
We do not share your personally identifiable information (such as name or email address) with other, third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out.
We may share non-personally-identifiable information (e.g., anonymous User usage data, platform types, number of clicks, etc) with third-parties to determine usage patterns for certain services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality on the HarQen Sites.
We may release personally identifiable information and/or non-personally-identifiable information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws (e.g., U.S. Copyright Law) or respond to a court order, subpoena, or search warrant.
HarQen reserves the right to disclose both personally and non-personally identifiable information to enforce our Terms of Use, prevent liability, and investigate and defend itself against any third-party claims or allegations. We may also provide information to assist government enforcement agencies, protect the security or integrity of the HarQen Sites, and/or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of HarQen employees, Users and others.
What would you like to do?
You may choose at any time not to provide personally identifiable information. If you do choose to submit your information, you may update or correct it at any time by visiting your account profile page. Please note that any files you provide to the HarQen Sites cannot be removed and remain subject to our Terms of Use policy.
We work too protect your privacy and security. We take reasonable measures (e.g., requiring a password) to verify your identity before allowing you to access your profile or make corrections.
Advertisers and Links to Other Sites:
HarQen may allow other companies, such as third-party ad servers or ad networks, to serve advertisements. These third-party providers use technology to send the advertisements and links that appear on the HarQen Sites directly to your browser. When this occurs, the third party providers automatically receive your IP address. They may also use other technologies (i.e., cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to tailor their advertising content.
HarQen does not provide any personally identifiable information to third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent. If you respond to an advertisement on the HarQen Sites, the advertiser or ad-server may use information regarding your use of the HarQen Sites to determine which ads to deliver to you in the future. If this practice concerns you, please review the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers or ad networks for more information on their practices. HarQen's privacy policy does not apply to other advertisers or web sites.
Information Security Protocols:
HarQen takes commercially reasonable precautions to protect your personally identifiable information. Please note that we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit to HarQen while in transit. In addition, we cannot guarantee that your information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed due to a breach of our security safeguards.
If HarQen learns of an information security breach, we may attempt to notify you via E-mail so that you can take appropriate steps. In addition, HarQen may post a notice on the effected site(s). Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive a free written notice of a security breach (or to withdraw your consent from receiving electronic notice) you should notify via email at support@harqen.com.
Children's Privacy:
The HarQen Sites are intended for mature audiences. Children under the age of 13 should not visit any of the HarQen Sites nor submit any personal information. HarQen does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Furthermore, HarQen does not knowingly use or distribute personal information regarding children under the age of 13. If HarQen obtains actual knowledge that it has collected personal information about a child under the age of 13, that information will be immediately deleted from our servers.
Special Note to International Users:
The HarQen Sites are hosted in the United States and are intended for Users in the United States. If you are a User accessing the HarQen Sites from any outside the United States, please be advised that your activity on the site acknowledges your consent to the transfer of your personal information to the United States. The protection and dissemination of your personal information will be governed by the laws of the United States.
Safe Harbor
HarQen adheres to the United States Safe Harbor Privacy Principals including Notice, Choice, Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity, Access, and Enforcement. Our policy is registered with the US Department of Commerce Safe Harbor Program.
Enforcement
HarQen internally monitors adherence with our privacy policies in order to maintain compliance. Any employee that HarQen determines to be in violation of this policy may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. If we receive formal written complaints, it is our policy to contact the issuer of the complaint about their concerns. We will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities if any complains regarding the transfer of data cannot be resolved between our company and the issuer of a complaint.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Notice periodically without notice. We encourage you to revisit this page to stay informed of any changes. Your continued use of the HarQen Sites constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Notice and any future revisions.
